Why become a cat sitter of Amsterdam
Our collective brings together professional cat sitters in the city with a commitment to excellent cat care, ongoing training and mutual support. These are the benefits of joining us:
Connect and bond with local cat sitters who understand your challenges and joys, and who are there for moral support, a chat or a drink. Why not?
Get help from a pool of great colleagues with different experiences and expertise who share advice, ideas, wisdom and inspiration with you.
Network, job-share, back (yourself)-up, refer and be referred. There is plenty of work out there. We share the love.
Make it more likely to be found online with a dedicated local website linked directly to your own.
Get additional exposure through the community's website, social media and various events throughout the year.
Participate in or organise your own training events to share what you know and develop your skills, or find someone to attend events with you. We have the same interests, and it's way nicer than showing on your own!

We will need some information from you for our site (you can request an edit anytime). We'll be asking you some general questions about your motivation for joining our collective and your commitment to excellent cat care, welfare, and training. What can you bring to the table? You don't have to be the cat-sitting master of the universe! We all started somewhere and are here to learn. However, we want to surround ourselves with colleagues who want to develop their skills, share, progress and excel. We want to showcase the best to our clients, both feline and human, so we'll evaluate every application.
You can find our step-by-step guide on how to apply to join here.

Come meet us
We want to know who we're connecting with and make sure we're comfortable recommending you to potential clients. It's important to meet face-to-face and know that we have similar service standards and are on the same page.
We hold an informal Cat Sitters' Café every three months (details of the next one here) and other activities from time to time. Come along! And don't worry if you're awkward around other people —because we're awkward, we all work with cats 😉
We're also friendly and rarely scratch.
04
Be the best cat sitter you can
Our aim is that, with each other's support, help, and inspiration, we can continue to develop as better carers, improve cat welfare, and raise the profile of what we do. We want high-quality cat-sitting to become the norm rather than the exception.

You can also join Cat Sitters of Amsterdam, the Facebook Community!
Our free online group is open to professionals, hobby sitters and those who dream of cat-sitting but need help finding out where to start. It's a place for everyone to ask questions, find resources and training opportunities, and share tips and stories. You don't even have to be based in Amsterdam to join —all cat sitters are welcome!
